Space Explorer

A spaceship flight simulator prototype of a game, based on the game Elite.

You can fly a spaceship around and look at a bunch of planets or stars that all have the same texture. There are no sound effects or any sounds, but if you shoot another spaceship enough it will blow up. There are 2 types of other space ships, green and blue ones just sit there and do nothing, red ones fly around weirdly and try to shoot at you. There are also large asteroid cubes that float around.

Controls:

• WS - move forward or back
• AD - roll
• Mouse - Pitch and Yaw
• Z - slow movement
• X - slow rotation
• Space - jump to star that is under the cursor in the center, it's kinda hard to get further away stars because they are much smaller
• Mouse Buttons - shoot lasers

This project was created to have fun and experiment with making a massive scale world which any player can explore, and test out how to make various things work with this world.
